A little bit about me and my blog, The Moppina & Wooden Spoon. To begin with, I am the daughter of an Italian immigrant, mother of four wonderful grown and almost grown children. Without a doubt, my family is everything to me. I grew up on Long Island (NY) and at this time, I’m residing in sunny South Florida. As a child, I loved reading my mom’s cookbooks. Today, I’m a passionate home cook with a love for entertaining. And last but not least, a former business owner that is rediscovering my zest for a simpler life.
My favorite things

Furthermore, I also treasure the sense of peace in my soul, when I’m at the beach or just snuggling my cats.
My blog
This is my first blog and it is named Moppina and Wooden Spoon in memory of my especially, beloved grandmothers. Women who served everyone first, but were truly the queens of their kitchens. In addition, it holds my collection of original and family favorite recipes that many have asked me to share throughout my years.
